About Daniel
I have worked as a product manager on B2B and consumer software, mostly in teams of five to fifteen engineers. My day is spent talking to customers, deciding what not to build, writing specs and keeping engineering, design and the business pointed at the same problem.
I teach the fundamentals that new product managers rarely get taught directly: framing problems, writing clear specs, prioritising with evidence, running a roadmap that survives contact with reality, and measuring whether a release worked.
My courses use one running example product, so the frameworks always land on something concrete. I share my own templates and the mistakes that taught me why they look the way they do.

What students say
The first 90 days plan helped
Started a new PM job last month and used the plan directly. It made the first weeks much calmer.
Spec reviews now end in decisions
The review agenda is simple and it works. Our meetings are shorter and actually resolve things.
The clearest intro to the role
I moved from support into product and this gave me a structure for everything I was doing by instinct. The problem statement template is gold.
Shorter specs, fewer questions
My specs got half as long and engineers ask far fewer clarifying questions. The non goals section alone changed our reviews.
Templates I use every week
The one page spec and launch checklist are now standard in my team. Short lessons that respect your time.
Engineers noticed the difference
Our tech lead asked what changed after my first spec using this structure. Edge cases and open questions made the difference.
Changed how I talk to stakeholders
Saying no with reasons and the trade off meeting role play were the most useful lessons for me.
Good permissions example
Working through one real style feature made every section concrete. The permission matrix lesson was excellent.
