A course marketplace for people who work in tech.
TutorPlus is a place where practitioners publish courses on what they do every day, and where every course comes with a tutor that knows its lessons.
Why it exists
Most tech skills are learned on the job, from someone a little further along. TutorPlus tries to bottle that: a course is made by a person who uses the thing they teach, it is organised into short lessons you can finish in an evening, and you can ask questions while you learn instead of waiting for a forum reply.
Who teaches
Anyone can apply to teach. An admin reads every application, and approved instructors build their courses in the studio. Each instructor has a public profile with their courses, their student count and the reviews students left. There is no anonymous content: every course has a name on it.
How a course gets published
A course needs a clear page (what you will learn, who it is for, what you need first), at least five lessons with real content and one free preview lesson. An admin reviews it before it appears in the catalog, and can send it back with a note.
The course tutor
Every course has an AI tutor that has read the curriculum. In the player it answers questions about the lesson you are on, points you to the lesson that covers something, and checks your understanding with a question. It stays inside the course, it does not make things up about the instructor, and it will not answer graded quizzes for you. It can still be wrong, so the lesson and the instructor come first.
How the money works
You pay once per course. There is no subscription and no bundle. When a course is paid, the instructor keeps 75% and the platform keeps 25% to run the site and the tutor. Free courses are free for everyone, with no fee on either side.
This is a demo
The instructors, courses, reviews and student numbers you see right now are sample content written to show how the site works. They are marked with a Sample tag.
Payments run in test mode: enrolling in a paid course does not charge real money.
