Terms of use
The short version
- You pay once per course and keep access to it. There is no subscription.
- Instructors own their courses. You may learn from them, not copy or resell them.
- The course tutor is an AI. It helps, it can be wrong, and it will not do graded quizzes for you.
- Be decent in reviews and tutor chats. We can remove content and close accounts that break these rules.
Accounts
You need an account to enroll. Use your real name and an email you can read, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. One person, one account. You can learn and teach from the same account.
Enrolling and learning
Enrolling gives you personal access to a course: its lessons, quizzes, the course tutor, and a certificate when you finish every lesson. Access is for you alone. Do not share your login, download and repost videos, or copy lesson text somewhere else.
Instructors keep improving their courses, so lessons may be edited, added or reordered after you enroll. Your completed lessons stay completed.
Payments and refunds
Each course shows its price before you confirm. You pay once for that course. While the site is in test mode, confirming does not charge anything.
Refunds are handled by the site admin. A refunded enrollment loses access to the course, and a review you left for it is hidden.
The course tutor
The course tutor is an AI assistant that works from the course material. Its answers can be incomplete or wrong, so check important things against the lessons. There is a daily limit of tutor questions per course. Do not use the tutor to produce harmful content or to get around a quiz.
Teaching
Instructors apply and are approved by an admin. You must have the right to everything you upload: your own text, video, code and images, or material you are allowed to use. You keep ownership of your course and give TutorPlus permission to host it, show it to enrolled students, feed it to the course tutor, and use its title, cover and description to list it.
For each paid enrollment the platform keeps a 25% fee and the rest is credited to your earnings. You can request a payout of $50 or more once your payout details are set; payouts are sent manually by an admin. If an enrollment is refunded, the matching earnings are reversed.
Courses are reviewed before they go live. An admin can ask for changes, unpublish or suspend a course, or suspend an instructor account when these terms are broken.
Fair use
Reviews should be about the course, written by someone who took it. No harassment, hate, spam, or personal data about other people in reviews, replies or tutor chats. Do not try to break, overload or scrape the site. We may hide content and limit or close accounts that do these things.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms as the site changes and will change the date at the top when we do. You can stop using TutorPlus at any time. The site is provided as it is, and while we try to keep it running and accurate, we cannot promise it will always be available or error free.
