About Priya
I work as a data analyst, which mostly means taking messy spreadsheets and database exports and turning them into answers people can act on. My daily tools are Python, pandas, SQL and Jupyter, with Polars creeping in for larger files.
I teach with public datasets so you see the real problems: missing values, odd date formats, duplicated rows. We clean them together and then make charts that are easy to read.
I believe a simple, well labelled chart beats a clever one, and that the best analysis is the one someone else can rerun next month.

What students say
The critique checklist is great
I use the checklist before every presentation now.
Polars comparison was useful
Nice to see when to switch tools, without dismissing pandas. Very balanced.
My charts look professional now
The highlight technique and takeaway titles changed my reports overnight. My manager noticed immediately.
Real data, real problems
The messy datasets were the best part. Cleaning dates and categories is exactly what my job involves.
Free and excellent
Clear explanations of why some charts work and others do not, not just how to code them.
Finally understand groupby
The lessons on agg and transform turned groupby from mysterious into my favourite tool.
Changed how I think about charts
Starting from the question instead of the data is such a simple idea, and it works.
Great matplotlib foundation
The object oriented interface finally makes sense. The Plotly section is shorter than I hoped.
